Nitpick: Lunar escape velocity is higher than the theoretical limit for conventional firearms. An ordinary gun can't push a bullet faster than the flame front moves across the propellant, smokeless powder can't do it. You could make a gun that can do it but it's not going to be a useful personal weapon.

I love these videos less so to make fun of movies that are mostly meant to be entertaining and look cool but more so just to learn about how it’s really like. I wish it was less making fun and more that’s cool now I’ll tell you how it really goes. Don’t forget the movies are movies folks. But there is such thing as movie truth where people see it and that’s how they think it is. Just gotta know that.

Interesting analysis, but it's painfully obvious he didn't actually watch the movies. I don't want to spoil Gravity, but Sandra Bullock doesn't exactly get "saved" by George Clooney like a damsel in distress. Quite the opposite, actually.
About Interstellar, that's more of a complex allegory of intergenerational conflict rather than a scientifically accurate representation of space exploration. And the scene in which the protagonist falls into a black hole and doesn't get disintegrated is explained by the fact he gets saved by the same entities that open the wormhole for humanity to traverse, whose actual identity I also won't reveal to avoid spoilers. "There nothing we know of right now that can resist it" is a premise the plot acknowledges and takes care of.
The scientifically accurate part of the story is inspired by the works of Kip Thorne, a nobel prize winner theoretical physicist and astrophysicist, who also worked as a scientific consultant for the movie. Pretty sure any inaccuracy is very deliberate.

in the Ad Astra section, they use laser weapons so it doesn't make sense to hear anything. But if you were to fire a chemical weapon on the moon or in a vacuum, could you hear the gunshot? it'd make a shockwave of expanding gasses, so there's no bullet whizzing by noise, but could you hear the actual sound of the bullet firing?

Thoroughly enjoyed this video, but showing those specific clips of Interstellar outside of the narrative context of the movie is really disappointing. The movie had so many scenes of space travel that Chris could've had amazing insight on but VF decides to show him the clips of the inside of the black hole? And without the context of the plot, Chris is led to believe that the only thing that created the tesseract inside the black hole was "love", dumbing the movie down to much less than it deserves.

Chris is a great man and his critics were so on point. The only thing he kind of whistled was the Marian, probably because of the heavy NASA involvement in the project. There were far more inaccurate things there, he did not touch the subject when the astronaut cut his suit and did iron man stun in space. It was redicious.
